Does the venue have a coordinator that I should be in touch with? If yes, what is their number?
Does the venue have any restrictions we need to know about? Every venue has its own unique do's and don'ts in regard to photography. Be sure to ask your venue about any restrictions of time or access so that we can help design the most streamlined approach to capturing your beautiful day!
Will you be having a receiving line? While a receiving line is a great way to greet all of your guests, please consider that the polite amount of time to converse with each guest will require an average of 30 seconds. That means for each 100 guests at your wedding you will need to allocate 45-50 minutes to welcome them. Be sure to allow for this estimated amount of time in your schedule.
Will the Ceremony be indoors or out? If outdoors, do you have an alternate location in case of inclement weather?
Will the reception be indoors or outdoors? If outdoors, Is there an alternate location in case of inclement weather?
Some venues require a specific amount of liability insurance, and/or require their name to be added to the policy.
Will you have a cocktail hour? A cocktail hour affords time for portraits while the wedding crowd is entertained. It also provides a moment for the photographer to capture the beauty and detail of the main reception hall before it fills.
If having a cocktail hour, what time will it begin?
What time will the reception begin and what time will guests actually begin to be seated?
Reception events
Which events will be happening at your reception? Not everyone will make it to the end of your party! Consider planning key reception moments early enough so that those with small children, the elderly, and your out-of-town guests feel they can leave without missing anything. This will also help your photographers maximize the time you have contracted together and ensure those all-important events are covered. The options below are placed in the order most often recommended by the wedding industry.
If you are planning a special exit would you like it photographed? If so, what time are you planning it and what kind of exit?
Vendors
Which Vendors will be helping you? Not only do we need some of this information to help with your timeline, we also like to give credit on our blog to your amazing vendors.

What other locations will you visit on your Wedding day? (Please include anywhere you would like for us to show up ie. getting ready location, golf outing for groom, bridal luncheon or alternate portrait location.)
A good series of Bride and Groom portraits usually requires a minimum of 30 minutes and are best completed before the ceremony. We'll even set up a "First Look" to capture the surprise and specialness of that moment when you see each other for the first time. This is a beautiful time carved out before the ceremony for just the two of you to delight in each other and breathe before the arrival of guests and fanfare. You can talk, pray, kiss and really relish this amazing moment that may be the only time that you are alone all day. We will be nearby unobtrusively capturing these private moments so that you remember the feeling forever. This also frees you up to attend the cocktail hour or reception while your guests are not kept waiting. Going traditional? That's okay too! Just remember to allow enough time between the ceremony and reception for these special photos or a time during the reception to capture some gorgeous sunset photos. Will you have at least 30 minutes (preferably more if possible) away from everyone else to dedicate to bride and groom photos?

Do you have a location in mind for a First Look or would you rather us find the ideal spot?
Delicate family situations don’t normally disappear just because it’s your “Big Day” (sorry)! But a little foreknowledge, decorum, and tact can go a long way toward keeping things enjoyable for you and your guests. And we’re happy to help however we can. So please outline anything you’d like us to be mindful of.
I ask that you give me an estimated idea of the number of groupings I will need to photograph for the sake of a timeline. In addition to this it is extremely helpful and time efficient to make a list and have a family friend organize the family groupings on the day of the wedding. This way we can move quickly, as well as ensure that all groupings are completed. Each grouping takes approximately 3 minutes to arrange and shoot.
Who do you want to include in your family photos? Please include names along with the relationship to you.
Include step parents and any parent figures you'd like in the photos.
Half and step siblings, too! If you want pics with your siblings' spouses alone (i.e. you and SIL), add as VIPs.
Mom and Dad's side, in no particular order.
Officiant, minister, special friends of the bride, or anyone else you want to photograph!

BRIDE AND GROOM TOGETHER
You will receive a link for an online gallery when your photos are ready. If you will also be ordering prints or products, I will need a physical address. What will be your mailing address after the wedding?
Tell us a little about the theme or style of your wedding day.
What is the most important aspect of your day that you would like for us to try and capture? (This is not a list of must have shots, but aspects that you feel are most important to you for the memory of your wedding day)
If the time that you have contracted me for will not cover all of your wedding day activities, is it more important that you have "getting ready" shots or the ones exiting your reception?
